Visitors are always amazed by Chicago’s exciting offerings, with the fabulous architecture, food and sights such as Millennium Park. It is a hot spot for performing Arts and an abundance of shopping with the eight block “Magnificent Mile”.
Tour Level: Active – sightseeing requires walking and with exploring the Magnificent Mile.
Monday August 26th – We will make our way from Walmart North parking lot at 8:00am through Michigan, with breaks along the way. We will have an evening arrival and our stay will be at the Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown River North hotel, which puts us within walking distance of many attractions. The evening is on your own to explore one of the many eating options in the area of your choice or one recommended by our Tour Director.

Tuesday August 27th – We will begin our day with an Architectural Chicago River Cruise, a 90-minute adventure that takes you also through the Chicago Lock in to Lake Michigan. We will then have an included family style lunch at the new-to-us, Starapolska’s Polish Restaurant. After lunch we will continue with an Ethnic Neighborhoods Tour, staring with the Pilsen Neighborhood, a predominantly Mexican American community with a stop to visit the National Museum of Mexican Art. We continue on to Chicago’s century -old Chinatown, with its elaborately adorned streets. We will stop for an included dessert item and photo op in Chinatown square. Dinner is on your own this evening. Then we will complete the evening with a wonderful Chicago Theatre Experience, to be advised.

Wednesday August 28th – This morning we explore Chicago with a Step on Guide with many interesting views of land sights such as “Millennium Park” with its Bean & Fountain & Chicago’s lakefront and an introduction to the “Magnificent Mile”. For the afternoon you will have time to explore the magnificent Mile on your own for lunch and shopping. This evening we enjoy a Buffet Dinner Evening Lake Cruise, capped off with viewing of the Navy Pier’s fireworks show.

Thursday, August 29th - After breakfast we will make our way home, with the usual stops including Duty Free. Our expected return home will be in the evening.

Tour includes: Deluxe motor coach transportation with Wi-Fi service where available, fully escorted with a Sunshine Travel Club Tour Director, 3 nights’ accommodation, 5 meals as stated, and sightseeing and attractions as stated.
Medical, Cancellation and Trip Interruption insurance protection is recommended, but not included. Coverage can be purchased separately through an insurance provider of your choice.
