Join us as we make our way to Shipshewana in LaGrange County Indiana, an area full of whitewashed houses beautiful gardens and laundry blowing in the gentle breeze, loaves of Freshly baked bread and the rhythm of a horse’s hoof hitting the pavement. Experience life simplified. Feet the quiet yet powerful influence of the Amish/Mennonite cultures as you travel along Amish back roads.

Tuesday, September 19th - We depart Walmart North parking lot at 8AM, crossing the border. We will have breaks and lunch as we head to Shipshewana Indiana. Our stay here will be at the Farmstead Inn ***Please note The Farmstead Inn is smoke & alcohol free, any evidence if found will result in a $150.00 fee for Violation. The hotel is conveniently located for visiting the activities in the area. Dinner will be coordinated on your own this evening.

Wednesday, September 20th - We begin our day with an included breakfast. Today will be for shopping at the "Shipshewana Flea Market" across from the hotel. Enjoy the fall displays and crafts available. This evening we will have an Amish dinner included and we will be entertained with the “Salute to the Stars” musical production, all at the Blue Gate Restaurant.

Thursday, September 21th - Today we will explore the Amish Culture and History with a Step on Tour Guide visiting local businesses to view the Amish practise their craft. We will also have a visit to a "Farm Animal Park". We will have lunch included during the tour in an Amish Home. Dinner will be on our own today.

Friday, September 22nd - Today after breakfast we will start by spending the morning at the "Meno-Hof Museum". A visitors center in Shipshewana that explains the Amish Heritage of the area through a multi-image presentation and colourful displays. We will offer shuttle to downtown afterword’s for lunch and exploring on your own. We will head to "Middlebury" in the afternoon to take in shopping and a carriage ride at the "Das Essen Haus", before we have a family style included Dinner.

Saturday, September 23rd - After breakfast and we will return home with pleasant memories of the uncomplicated Amish Lifestyle
