Agawa Canyon Fall Colour Tour Train

Tour Activity – Moderate to active – for exploring the scenic views involving walking and climbing – full day on the train.
All aboard for a One-day Rail Adventure into the heart of the “Group of 7” Canadian Wilderness, during the most scenic time of the year to enjoy the fall colours.
Meet your Sunshine Travel Club Tour Director at the ACR Train Station, 87 Huron Street at 7:15 am. Today you will transport you north of the Sault over towering trestles , alongside pristine northern lakes and rivers, through the awesome granite rock formations and vast mixed forests of the Canadian Shield. See first hand the scenery that inspired the Group of 7 to create some of Canada s most notable works of art .
As we travel along, a "Tour Train Host" through a PA system, will provide commentary will tell you about up coming points of interest and share some of the rich history of the region. As well you will have a "Sunshine Travel Club Tour Director" to assist you during the journey.
Riding the rails in the coaches which have flat screen monitors that will provide you with an engineer s eye view ” of what lies ahead. Enjoy a scenic walk or climb up to the breathtaking lookout, perched 250 feet above the canyon floor. As the train pulls to a stop at Mile 114 . We will have 1 ½ hrs to gather for an included "Special Box Lunch" .
Then walk on one of the three trails to the waterfalls up close, or climb up to the lookout and experience the pristine beauty of the Canyon Park from this view.
The return trip is scheduled to arrive back in Sault Ste Marie 6:00 pm.
