Memphis, Nashville & New Orleans

Tour Level: Active – need to be capable of walking distances on uneven terrain during sightseeing activities at a reasonable pace with a group.
The south is known for its music, culture and history and we explore it all in these major cities. Come and join the fun with all these experiences to keep your toes tapping.
Tuesday April 22nd – We depart Walmart parking lot at 8:00 am and make our way thru Michigan to Illinois where we will spend our first night. Meals: none
Wednesday, April 23rd – We continue to "St. Louis" for our second overnight. Here we will visit the national treasure "Gateway Arch Park" close to our hotel. We will include a view of the Arch from the waterway on a short Cruise on the Mississippi River with a box lunch. You will have time before or after the cruise to take the tram to the top if you choose, also learn about the building history with a movie and explore gift shops at the museum. The evening is on your own.

Thursday, April 24th – Today we will travel to "Memphis" we should arrive in the afternoon in time to view the legendary "Peabody Fountain Ducks". This evening, we will include a group dinner in the "Beale Street" area. After dinner evening is on your own to enjoy the entertainment in this area.

Friday, April 25th – Today we experience a visit to the "Graceland Exhibition Center" which includes a visit to the "Graceland Mansion". You will be able to have lunch on your own here during your self guided exploring of the Presley Automobiles, Entertainment, Movie, and Discovery Exhibits at the Museum. The evening is on your own to enjoy dinner & the entertainment on Beale Street.

Saturday April 26th – After breakfast we will make our way to "New Orleans". We will have a visit to the "Mississippi Civil Rights Museum" during our lunch break in "Jackson". In the evening, we will enjoy an included group dinner at the flavourful "Court of Two Sister’s Restaurant" and then you can enjoy the rest of the evening on your own.

Sunday April 27th – Today we will have a "Step on Guide Tour", and an afternoon visit to "Mardi Gras World" before we do an evening "Creole Queen Jazz Cruise" with a buffet dinner included.

Monday April 28th – Driver’s day off. A free day to explore on your own. Make the most of your day and visit the "French Quarter" attractions such as "Jackson’s square, St. Louis cathedral on Bourbon Street & Garden District". Experience one-of-a-kind dining, stroll the vibrant arts district, listen to some street live music, or do a little shopping. There is for exploring a Hop on/Hop off bus (day pass cost $46.00 us).

Tuesday April 29th – We depart New Orleans this morning and travel to "New Iberia". On arrival we will have a box lunch included during our visit to “Shadows of the Tech” which offers a vivid picture of domestic life on a south Louisiana Plantation, before the civil war. An introductory movie, a tour of the home and grounds. Later, we continue to "Lafayette" for our 2-night stay.

Wednesday April 30 – Our day in Lafayette includes a visit to the "Vermillion Village", a Cajun and Creole living History Museum and folklore Village. A guided tour, boat cruise and lunch are included today during our visit. Your evening is on your own.

Thursday May 01st – Today we must move forward with another day on our deluxe motor coach travelling to Birmingham Alabama for our next overnight.

Friday May 02nd – This is arrival midday into "Nashville". We will have lunch on our own and then include a visit to the "Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum" with a guided tour, transporting you through its history with engaging stories, viewing priceless instruments, dazzling stage wear, and iconic artifacts. We will then check into our hotel and have one overnight in downtown, so you have an evening on your own to explore all the entertainment of your choice within walking distance.

Saturday, May 03rd – Today we will move from downtown to the fabulous "Gaylord Opryland Resort" for our second night in Nashville. Once we arrive at the complex we will board the "General Jackson Paddler Wheeler" cruise for our lunch with entertainment. Explore for the rest of the afternoon and in the evening, we included a visit to the "Grand Ole Opry" for that night’s entertainment.

Sunday, May 04th – Travelling north today we make our way to "Cincinnati" by mid afternoon. This evening, we will board the "Riverboat Belle of Cincinnati" for a scenic dinner jazz cruise and enjoy the beautiful Cincinnati Skyline from the water.

Monday, May 05th – We enjoy a relaxing ride home today, with a lifetime of musical memories with our new friends. We expect an early evening arrival home.
