Tour Activity: – Active -  standing and walking while exploring at the venues

This itinerary is a blend of Scottish Culture and Natural Beauty, making for a memorable trip through charming Ontario Towns.

Wednesday - August 6th,- We will start out from the Walmart Parking Lot with an 8:00 am departure. We will make our way directly to the Mennonite heritage community of “St Jacobs” with our usual stops along the way. We will have a comfortable 3 night stay here to explore the area.
Meals: None

Thursday, August 07th - Today we will drive to the small coastal town overlooking Lake Huron, of “Goderich”, which Queen Elizabeth II, once commented, “is the prettiest town in Canada”. We will have a guided visit to the “Huron County Museum & Historical Gaol” (served as county jail). We will explore downtown. We will have lunch at a waterfront restaurant. Then we will return to St Jacobs. This evening, we will have a warm welcome at “Schmidtsville Restaurant & Gift Shop”, in the quaint town of “Wellesley” for an included buffet group dinner.
Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

Friday, August 08th - We will have a leisurely morning today. The “St Jacob’s Outlets” open at 10:00 am for some retail therapy and for lunch on your own in the area, just a 5 min walk from the hotel. In the afternoon we have an included visit to the “Mennonite Story Log House” with a Mennonite “Step on Guide” tour on our bus, taking us through the “Mennonite Countryside”. In the evening, we will travel to “Fergus”, which embodies its rich Scottish heritage, to take in the opening ceremonies for the “Fergus Scottish Festival & Highland Games”. The evening includes the “Tattoo’d in Tradition”, event, celebrating Scottish Culture in Canada and closing with fireworks, before we make our way back to St Jacobs.
Meals: Breakfast

Saturday, August 09th - Today we will travel to “Elora Gorge” on route to Fergus again for the events on this day as part of the “Scottish Festival & Highland Games”. We will shuttle between activities downtown or games at the Sports Center. Lunch will be on your own. When we leave the Scottish Festival Grounds at the end of our day here, we make our way to “Kincardine”. We will include dinner tonight close to “Victoria Park” where we will take in the “Scottish Pipe Band Parade”. We will find a vantage point to hopefully watch the Sunset that evening before going back to our hotel.
Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

Sunday, August 10th - After breakfast we will make our way to the “Tobermory Ferry Terminal” for our return journey to Sault Ste Marie. We will include a meal on the ferry as we cross over the scenic waterway to “South Baymouth”. We then make our way home, with the usual stops. Expect an evening arrival home.
