May 20th – May 28th, 2026
Travel northwest from Sault Ste Marie along the renowned Lake Superior shoreline, experiencing stunning scenery. We'll visit key sites in Thunder Bay and Kenora before arriving in Winnipeg, the capital of Manitoba, known for its many attractions.

Wednesday, May 20th – We begin our journey from Walmart parking lot at 8:00 am. Our journey to Thunder Bay takes us for an included picnic lunch at the scenic lookout at Aguasabon Falls & Gorge. We will make another stop to unveil the Paddle of the Sea Storybook, Park in Nipigon. We then settle into our hotel when we arrive in Thunder Bay for a two-night stay. Before we call it a night we will gather once again for an included “Welcome dinner” with delicious menu options.

Thursday, May 21st – Today we start our day with a tour and lunch visit to Fort William Historical Park. It contains a reconstruction of the Fort William fur trade post as it existed in 1815, which is a living history site. From here we travel downtown with a visit to the Amethyst Encounter Shop for an information session and shopping for this precious gem. We will include a visit to the Centennial Botanical Conservatory, to enjoy their tropical Gardens. We then include Tour & Tasting at Thunder Bay’s newest Brewery, the Sleeping Giant Brewery Company. We will give you options for dinner on your own this evening.

Friday, May 22nd – This morning we leave Thunder Bay with a short scenic visit at Kakabeka Falls, on our drive to Kenora for a one-night waterfront hotel stay. This evening, we will join the M.S. Kenora for Sunset buffet dinner cruise, on Lake of the Woods, through picturesque channels, summer homes and peaceful, unspoiled wilderness areas. Watch for bald eagles and other wildlife.

Saturday, May 23rd – Today after breakfast, we continue our journey to Winnipeg, arriving for lunch on your own, before we take in an early afternoon visit to the Royal Canadian Mint Winnipeg for a guided tour. This is the mint where our Canadian currency is created. We then check into our downtown hotel location for the next 4 nights. Dinner is on your own, before we will take in a dance performance, with inspiring young artists, at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School.

Sunday, May 24th – Today we will have most of the day to explore and enjoy the many garden and artistic areas in the Assiniboine Park. We will start with a guided tour in the Biome at The Leaf to enjoy three different, tropical, Mediterranean and Butterfly gardens. There are also outdoor theme gardens here. We will make our way to the Assiniboine Park, with time to explore the English Garden and Sculpture Garden. Food options will be available to you within in Park to choose on your own. We will travel from there to Polo Park Mall for shopping and dinner on your own before we head back to our hotel for the evening.

Monday, May 25 – Today we will have a step-on guide tour which explores the history and architecture of downtown Winnipeg. We will move into the Forks area with a short river cruise with Waterways Cruises, included in our day, to experience the Red & Assiniboine Rivers. Then there is time this afternoon to explore at Forks, which has a beautiful market area, a recreational park, and many activities. This evening, we will gather again to enjoy an included dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory at The Forks.

Tuesday 26th – Drivers Day Off. This morning, after breakfast, there will be a walking tour included of The Exchange District to start your day. The rest of the day will be at your leisure. Within walking distance, and for a very nominal fee or free, gives you the chance to explore one of the following museums, such as the “Winnipeg Police Museum”, the “Ukrainian Cultural Center”, “Plug in Ica” contemporary Art Museum, or “Urban Shaman Contemporary” Aboriginal Art Museum. Follow your favourite interests and enjoy some place unique to eat in the downtown area to fill your day with memories.

Wednesday, May 27th – It is time to reflect on the many sites and attractions you have seen to create memories. Talk on the bus with new friends as we begin our journey back home on our luxury coach and make our way back to Thunder Bay for our last overnight.

Thursday, May 28th – After breakfast we will have a short stop at the Terry Fox Memorial, marking where his “Marathon of Hope” had to end. Lunch again will be an included picnic lunch in Terrace Bay. We continue our scenic drive back to Sault Ste Marie. We can expect an early evening arrival home.
