Georgian Bay Circle Tour
Featuring the “Midland Ontario Butter Tart Festival”
June 06th -09th, 2024
We make the journey scenic and fun as we begin our journey via Manitoulin Island. Enjoy the festivities in the waterfront town of Midland, on the scenic shores of Georgian Bay, for all the sweet fun as part of their popular Butter Tart Festival.
Tour Level: Moderate – full day of activity, but can be done at your own pace, exploring the festival at your leisure, numerous attractions within ½ hour walk, or with shuttle
Thursday, June 06th – We will depart Walmart at 8am and make our way East with coffee/pick up stops on route. We will arrive on Manitoulin Island in time for an included lunch at our hotel in the town of Little Current. In the afternoon we will take a scenic drive to the towns of Sheguiandah & Kagawong, that will include a stop at the beautiful Bridal View Falls. For the evening you are on your own to relax and eat at the hotel or at one of the restaurants in the town in the area.

Friday, June 07th – After breakfast we continue our drive through the Island to South Baymouth for a late morning departure on the Chi-Cheemaun Ferry to Tobermory. We will have an included lunch on board, during the scenic cruise. We make our way from Tobermory to Midland Ontario, where we will have 2 overnight stays to take in all the festivities that are part of the world renown "Butter Tart Festival".

Saturday, June 08th – You will have a full day to walk or shuttle around on your own to take in the attractions that are near the Hotel and spend time at the Midland Butter Tart Festival activities. We will take in the event at the Midland Cultural Center for our evening entertainment.

Sunday, June 09th - After breakfast we will make our way home. Before we leave Midland, we will visit the attraction Saint-Marie among the Hurons. Explore the history with costumed guides. Our expected return home will be in the evening.

Tour includes: Deluxe motorcoach transportation with Wi-Fi service where available, fully escorted with a Sunshine Travel Club Tour Director, 3 nights accommodation, 5 meals as stated.
