Featuring New Brunswick and Nova Scotia September 04 –19, 2024 There is so much history, unique Acadian Culture, amazing architecture, and beautiful landscapes throughout these two Canadian East coast provinces, giving this tour a special flavour. Tour level: Active. Designed for people who are physically fit and capable of walking fairly long distances at a reasonable pace, and able to negotiate stairs easily and rough terrain on a busy schedule. Wednesday, September 4th - We depart at 8AM from Walmart North parking lot, with stops on route for pick ups, and breaks as we make our way to Pembroke for our first overnight. Meals: None Thursday, September 05th - After breakfast, we continue our journey east and will drive to Quebec City for another overnight in Saint-Romuald/Levis Quebec and will include a little visit to Old Quebec for exploring and for dinner this evening on your own. Meals: Breakfast Friday, September 06th - Today after breakfast we will begin our journey into New Brunswick and entering through Edmundston. Our first stop will be at the New Brunswick Botanical Garden, where we will have a box lunch included with our visit. Then we continue travel to Fredericton for a 2-night Stay. Dinner is on your own this evening with ideas from the Tour director. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch Saturday, September 07th - Today we will spend the day in the capital city of New Brunswick to visit city centre attractions, with so many things to see along the waterfront for you to choose your interest, such as the Beaverbrook Art Gallery or the Garrison Historic District. You can have lunch with a visit to the Boyce Farmers Market Area along with some free time to explore in the afternoon. We will include a unique group dinner experience. Meals: Breakfast & Dinner. Sunday, September 08th – Today we will travel to McAdam Railway Station, for a tour and Lunch with their famous Pie, and continue our journey to St. Andrews by the Sea for sightseeing or an optional Whale watching excursion. (The Whale Watching excursion is not included in tour price, however if you would like to participate in this optional attraction please discuss with the Tour Director in regards to making the arrangements. Cost for this optional attraction - $115.00/person) We travel to St John for our overnight. Dinner is on your own tonight. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch Monday, September 09th, - Today we travel by Ferry from Saint John, NB to Digby NS and then with our coach to Halifax where we will stay downtown for the next 3 nights. Meals: Breakfast Tuesday, Sept 10th – Today we will see the city with a Step on Guide and have an excursion to the coastal areas of Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg. Meals: Breakfast Wednesday, September 11th – Drivers Day off, with lots of suggestions from the Tour director of things to do near the hotel or on your own with a bit of arranging. Meals: Breakfast Thursday Sept 12th- After breakfast we begin our drive on the Cabot trail to the Keltic Lodge for an overnight. We will include a ride for the view on the Cape Smokey Gondola. Dinner will be in this area or at the hotel on your own. Meals: Breakfast Friday Sept 13th – After breakfast we are joined by a step on Guide for the rest of the scenic ride on the Cabot trail Travel to Port Hawkesbury – we will do our midday meal break here. Then we drive to Moncton for a 2-night stay. Meals: Breakfast Saturday Sept 14th – From Moncton, this morning we drive to Hopewell Rocks Beach to experience the beach with the tides in and out, (tide schedule to be advised) with a guide and between tides we will visit the Colby Albert Museum with a tour and Lunch included. Then we head back to Moncton for dinner plans on our own. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch Sunday Sept 15th - After breakfast we travel to the Acadian village in Paquetville for an included Acadian Kitchen Lunch on the coast. After lunch we will visit with a guided tour Fils du Roy Distillery. Then we travel to Bathurst for an overnight. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch Monday Sept 16th - We travel back to Old Quebec City via Riviera du Loup – and along the St Lawrence River. We will overnight 2 nights at the entrance to the old City. Meals: Breakfast Tuesday Sept 17th – This is a full free day to rest and explore the old city Quebec on your own with the Tour Directors Ideas as the driver will have a day off. Meals: None Wednesday Sept 18 – Today we travel to Pembroke for our last overnight with time for a stop in Ottawa for a midday break. Meals: Breakfast Thursday, September 19th - Breakfast included at our hotel and then we head for home to Sault Ste Marie with our usual stops and drop offs and chance to share pictures and memories of our adventure on the bus ride home. We are expecting an early evening arrival. Meals: Breakfast Tour includes: Deluxe motor coach transportation, with WIFI included where available, fully escorted with a Sunshine Travel Club Tour Director, 15 nights accommodation with luggage handling, 19 meals as stated, and sightseeing as listed. Optional Whale Watching event - $115/person. Medical & Cancellation & Trip Interruption Insurance protection recommended, but not included in this tour.
